Black Balloon Day
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" -Psalm 34:18

Black Balloon Day, celebrated on March 6th, has become a national and international event, bringing awareness to overdose deaths while showing families support through the difficult moments they have faced losing their loved one.

We as Mission Driven are able to bring the families who lost a loved one that was in active use or to an overdose a personalized gift and black balloon in remembrance of their loved one. We have the opportunity to pray with the family and talk with them about who their loved one was and let them know they are not in this alone. We are there to show support and love despite such a difficult moment that they faced losing a life to addiction.

We couldn't do this without our community's support. Due to the rising number of deaths in our area, unfortunately the number of individuals we see each year continue to rise. Thanks to our volunteers we are able to meet each family on March 6th. We also want to thank you for any donations made that make it possible to get the personalized gifts and balloons. If you would like to support in any way, or sign up a loved one for Black Balloon day please look at the information provided below.
